POEM
|
I cried today for a dog Whose name I did not know He was sick and starving And had no place to go.
His eyes they told the story Of his hungry day's I sat there and listened And boy was I amazed.
He said my master left me Out here all alone He didn't leave me food or water And told me to make it on my own.
I begged for food from people But they told me to go away I knew they didn't mean it They were just to busy with their day.
So on and on I wondered Looking for some food Hoping they might understand I wasn't being rude.
I told him that I loved him I was sorry he was treated that way And wished that I had found him Long before today.
He looked at me with his sick eyes And thanked me for the food But I must go to sleep now I'm not trying to be rude.
